Craig Semetko
After reading about a recent seminar from the Leica Akademie, I discovered the work of street photographer Craig Semetko. I think his shots of Asia are more or less just travelogue material, but the rest of his work is very visually inventive and humourous. The humour aspect probably shouldn't be a surprise since Semetko started out life as a comedian and comedy writer. If you've got some cash to burn you can buy his very well-regarded photography book Unposed.
And in case you're wondering, the Leica Akademie will be hosting a weekend in Toronto next June 15-17, though the exact venue hasn't yet been announced.
